Job summary

Southland Industries in Schertz, TX seeks candidates for an Occupational Health & Safety program role to assist the Safety Manager in enforcing safety procedures on design/build HVAC, plumbing and fire protection projects. You will coordinate division safety activities and construction process safety.

The position emphasizes initiative, teamwork, and the ability to train, coach, and mentor less experienced safety personnel to improve on-site safety performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Manager in enforcing safety procedures and OSHA standards on project sites.
• Support implementation of the Corporate Safety Award Program.
• Distribute and maintain records for industrial equipment training and MSDS materials.
• Report and manage company vehicle claims and workers compensation reporting.
• Assist in safety tailgate meetings and document signed forms.
