Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Sr. Release Train Engineer (RTE) to support a high-performing agile program using SAFe. You will facilitate ART events, drive delivery across teams, and partner with PMO to ensure value realization in a demanding, mission-critical SATCOM environment.

The role requires strong communication, PKI/secure systems understanding, and experience guiding teams to higher Agile maturity in a fast-paced setting. TS/SCI with polygraph desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years leading large, complex technical teams, preferably in SAFe.
• Experience supporting an Agile software development program and managing timelines in roles like RTE, Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Tech Lead.
• Hands-on experience with Agile PM tools such as Jira, VersionOne, Rally, and IBM ELM.
• Experience briefing leadership and customers on project status and execution.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Agile Release Train (ART).
• Plan software and architecture releases and manage schedule execution.
• Facilitate PI Planning readiness and PI Planning events, including logistics and technical prep.
• Coordinate cross-team collaboration via Scrum of Scrums and other forums.
• Summarize Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives for visibility.
