Job summary

Company Overview CCG seeks a Release Train Engineer (RTE) / SAFe SME to synchronize multiple teams on a battle rhythm, ensuring value delivery aligns with a government customer’s vision. The role coaches on strategy-to-execution, agile mindset, SAFe, and Scrum across the program.

Hybrid work arrangement allows split time between remote work and a secure NoVA facility outside DC, with extensive collaboration with Product Owners and stakeholders to maximize program value.

Qualifications

• Must possess a TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related technical discipline with at least ten years of relevant experience.
• Local to the DC Metro Area.
• Experience executing Program Increments.
• Experience facilitating Program Increment Planning sessions, Scrum of Scrums, business owner syncs, and system-of-system demos.
• Experience coaching teams to execute and release value through Agile Release Trains.
• Experience working with government or business leaders to build an Agile portfolio with Lean-Agile budgeting.
• Ability to work with all roles and levels to optimize value streams.
• 3-5 years hands-on SAFe scaling experience.
• 3-4 years Lean-Agile mindset/principles experience.
• Comfortable in a high-trust, adaptable environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide SAFe SME support and implement Lean-Agile framework.
• Guide the ART and teams through delivery of software and services with an Agile mindset.
• Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to define mission value and prioritize work.
• Establish annual calendars for Iterations and PIs; create team cadences and ceremonies.
• Collaborate with customers to refine the program backlog and drive value alignment.
• Improve delivery ecosystem while maintaining governance processes.
• Facilitate decision-making with vendors and customers.
• Mentor peers and team members; develop their skills and careers.
• Manage cross-functional coordination and dependency alignment.
