Job summary

Leidos seeks a Sr. Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead a large SAFe ART supporting USSF/SSC, USAF, and other stakeholders. The role focuses on PKI, Agile development, and DevOps practices within a multi-agency mission system environment.

The Sr. RTE will facilitate PI planning, manage train execution, and work with teams to remove impediments, ensure timely deliveries, and maintain transparency across stakeholders in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience.
At least 5 years of experience leading large, complex technical teams in a SAFe environment.
Experience briefing leadership and customers on project status and execution.
Hands-on experience with Agile PM tools (Jira, VersionOne, Rally, IBM ELM).

Responsibilities

Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Agile Release Train (ART).
Manage schedule execution and plan software and architecture releases for the program.
Facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning readiness and events.
Coordinate cross-team collaboration via Scrum of Scrums and other forums.
Summarize Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives and publish them.
Assist with tracking execution of Features and Capabilities using program metrics.
Brief customers on development progress and release readiness.
Coordinate release trains and schedule release timelines for fixes and enhancements.
