Description

Job Type: Full-time

Spatial Front, Inc. (SFI), a two-time USAToday Top Workplaces awardee and Washington Top Workplaces honoree, is seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE) to support our growing team. The RTE serves as the leader and chief facilitator for the Enabling Rail Agile Release Train (ART), helping teams plan, coordinate, and deliver shared services and technical enablers that support mission execution across the broader Solution Train. This role is responsible for facilitating ART events, managing ART, improving flow, managing cross-team dependencies and risks, driving transparency through metrics, and aligning delivery across multiple teams and stakeholders. The RTE will work closely with Product Management, System Architects, Scrum Masters, team leads, Government stakeholders, and partner ARTs to ensure the Enabling Rail supports secure, reliable, compliant, and predictable delivery across a complex government environment that spans NIPRNET and SIPRNET, multiple vendors, and multiple technical platforms. As a valued member of the SFI team, you will play a critical role in delivering mission‑critical capabilities to our Federal Government customers.

Work Location: On‑site, Arlington, VA

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate ART-level events and ceremonies, including PI Planning, ART Syncs, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt workshops, and release readiness coordination.

  • Manage and optimize the ART's flow of work, identifying and removing impediments.
  • Coordinate closely with Product Management, Business Owners, System Architects, Release Management, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Test, BI, and Change Management leads to align delivery objectives and execution plans.
  • Promote transparency into ART execution using approved tooling and dashboards, including alignment of work items, milestones, dependencies, and outcomes.
  • Support preparation, refinement, and alignment of PI Objectives, features, enablers, milestones, and ART commitments.
  • Track and report on ART-level metrics including program predictability, velocity, and quality.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the program backlog and PI objectives.
  • Facilitate cross-team dependency management and risk identification.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Team management experience
  • Experience coordinating work across multiple teams with shared services, technical dependencies, and release synchronization requirements.
