Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer/Task Lead in Austin, TX to guide design teams on roadway projects and programmatic activities. The role includes client communication, document preparation, and mentoring, with growth potential within a client-facing environment.

The ideal candidate has a BS/MS in Civil Engineering, 7+ years of experience, and a TX P.E. license, with TxDOT roadway design and ITS/tolling exposure valued. MicroStation/OpenRoads expertise is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• TxDOT highway/roadway design experience.
• P.E. license in TX.
• ITS and Tolling experience is a plus.
• MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and production of engineering drawings, supervising as needed.
• Perform data collection, calculations, and feasibility evaluations.
• Prepare sections of reports and permit applications.
• Review shop drawings and assist with progress reports and quality control.
