Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer to join our Central Region Roads & Highways team in Texas. You will manage roadway design teams on transportation projects, coordinate production, and mentor staff for growth. Strong leadership and civil engineering fundamentals are essential.

Ideal candidates bring a BS/MS in Civil Engineering, 7+ years of roadway design, and a TX P.E. license. DOT experience is a plus; MicroStation/OpenRoad Designer skills preferred.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• Must have highway/roadway design experience.
• P.E. license in TX is required.
• DOT experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, design, and production of engineering drawings.
• Supervise production of roadway drawings and documents.
• Prepare reports, specifications, and permit applications.
• Perform field observations and data analysis as needed.
