Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer/Task Lead in Texas to manage roadway design teams on highway projects. You will perform planning, design, production, and reporting tasks, ensuring quality and compliance with project specifications.

The role requires 7+ years of roadway design experience, a TX P.E. license, and strong technical and interpersonal skills. DOT experience is a plus; MicroStation and Open Road Designer are preferred tools.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• Must have highway/roadway design experience.
• DOT experience is a plus but not a requirement.
• P.E. license in TX is required.
• MicroStation and Open Road Designer proficiency expected.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D is recommended but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, design, and production of engineering drawings for roadway projects.
• Supervise production of drawings as needed.
• Prepare and assemble specifications and reports.
• Perform data collection, analysis, and calculations for design options.
• Contribute to project coordination, scheduling, and progress reporting.
• Observe construction activities and assist in quality control.
