Job summary

William Charles Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead roadway projects in the Springfield, IL area and surrounding regions. The role emphasizes field operations, contract administration, safety planning, budgeting, and schedule management.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of roadway project management experience, proficiency with HCSS or B2W estimating, and scheduling tools such as P-6 or MS Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field (or combination of education and experience).
• 5–10 years of Project Management in concrete production, slipform paving, curb and gutter and bridge deck placement.
• Experience with heavy civil construction and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage field operations and contract administration including safety, personnel, subcontract scheduling, material and equipment procurement and scheduling.
• Develop and manage budgets and change orders; monitor cost accounting and log communications.
• Coordinate subcontractor/vendor relationships and risk management; update schedules and progress reports weekly.
