Job summary

William Charles Construction, a MasTec company, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager in the Springfield, IL area to lead field operations on road and highway projects. Occasional travel to surrounding sites is required, with company vehicle and fuel provided.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of project management in heavy civil paving, strong scheduling and safety leadership, and experience with HCSS/Procore. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM/CE or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of PM in heavy civil road/highway projects.
• Experience with scheduling tools (P6 or MS Project).
• Knowledge of computerized estimating and procurement software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations and contract administration including safety, personnel, subcontract scheduling, materials and equipment procurement and schedule.
• Lead safety planning in all planning and field activities.
• Manage change orders and scope changes across projects.
• Create and manage project budgets and cost controls.
• Oversee subcontractor and vendor relationships and risk exposure.
• Plan equipment, personnel, means, methods, and update schedules.
• Maintain cost accounting, logs, and change order documentation.
• Submit monthly cost-to-complete projections.
• Manage contract value against weather, changes and quantities.
• Report weekly quantities and update Viewpoint logs.
• Track purchase orders and cost commitments.
• Other duties as assigned.
