Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team across diverse populations. You will apply evidence-based nursing practices and collaborate with physicians, educators, and support staff.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, care planning, patient and family education, medication administration with barcode scanning, and safe transitions of care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work at the assigned HMH location by date of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
• Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR active participant in Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency Program.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs with strong teamwork and commitment to ongoing education.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
• Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or the situation.
• Performs age- and disease-specific assessments/data collection.
• Develops and coordinates a plan of care that is patient-/family-focused.
• Communicates and implements the plan of care with the healthcare team.
• Provides nursing care and treatments per established protocols and documents events.
