Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team. The role focuses on expanding knowledge, delivering evidence-based nursing practices, and coordinating patient care across the care continuum.

You will assess patients, plan and implement care, administer medications, educate patients and families, and participate in discharge planning while adhering to standards and quality metrics.

Qualifications

• Must have RN license to practice at the assigned HMH location.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum six months of nursing experience OR active Nurse Residency program participation.
• Willingness to obtain BSN within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Coordinate care with nurses, physicians and support services.
• Administer medications with barcode scanning and documentation.
• Provide patient/family education and discharge planning.
• Document nursing care and patient status in the EHR.
• Uphold nursing standards and evidence-based practice.
