Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as a caregiver for a specific patient population; this role emphasizes expanding knowledge, delivering direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team, and coordinating patient care across peers, physicians, and support services.

Candidates will have an ADN or nursing diploma, with BSN in progress preferred; must hold a current NJ RN license and BLS/CPR.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma.
• BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Must have a current and valid Registered Nurse license to work at the assigned HMH location by date of hire. BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hire.
• minimum 1 - 2 years bedside RN experience
• The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, a strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers, an exceptional focus on teamwork, dedication to ongoing education and the ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care based on a strong sense of patient focus are all required.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• The RN functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes and directs/oversees care provided by other caregivers.
• Provides effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
