Westamerica Bancorporation is seeking an experienced leader to oversee Risk and Underwriting staff in our California campus. You will ensure superb service, mentor teams, and drive retention of Agents and ISOs while handling complex escalations.

The role emphasizes staff development, adherence to policy, and collaboration with sales and operations to manage risk and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the Risk and Underwriting staff to ensure superb service and retention.
• Personally handles more complex merchant, ISO or Agent calls.
• Hires, trains, and monitors team representatives; assesses performance.
• Maintains department programs and processes to minimize losses in Risk, Underwriting, and dispute resolution.
• Works with Sales and Operations to coordinate with ISOs and Agents for accounting needs.
