Capital Insurance Group in Spokane, WA seeks an Underwriting Manager to lead the underwriting team in a hybrid setting. You will guide complex risk assessment, mentor staff, and shape the business strategy with strong regulatory and production focus.

You will drive underwriting integrity, set service standards, and collaborate with executives to optimize growth and profitability across the practice group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive Property-Casualty underwriting experience with leadership.
• 5+ years leading diverse teams and developing underwriting leaders.
• Knowledge of DOI regulations and underwriting standards.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Experience reviewing and underwriting complex risks.

Responsabilités

• Lead underwriting team in virtual and office settings.
• Provide mentoring and technical training to staff.
• Develop business strategy, metrics, and product/service alignment.
• Ensure compliance, underwriting integrity, and service standards.
