Job summary

Luster National is seeking a seasoned Risk Manager to oversee risk on major heavy civil projects such as highways, bridges, transit, and water facilities in the United States. Expect rigorous risk analysis, governance, and contingency planning aligned to funding agency standards.

You will support workshops, maintain risk registers, and communicate findings to executives and project teams, with emphasis on cost and schedule exposure and proactive mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field with education or experience in risk management.
• 10+ years' experience in risk management for large heavy civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience facilitating risk workshops and maintaining a program risk register.
• Experience with quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the program's risk management plan and governance.
• Lead risk workshops with staff, designers, and contractors with a current risk register.
• Quantify cost and schedule exposure and provide contingency recommendations.
• Analyze baseline schedule for logic, calendar, and float integrity.
• Track mitigations, hold owners to dates, and escalate stalled actions.
• Evaluate change proposals and time impact analyses for program exposure.
• Coordinate risk across third‑party interfaces and funded submittals.
• Prepare risk and contingency sections for funding submittals and board packs.
