Job summary

Lusternational is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to oversee risk across large heavy civil infrastructure programs, including highways, bridges, and transit. You will quantify exposure, develop contingency strategies, and coordinate risk across multiple stakeholders to support funding and oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, construction engineering, or engineering management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of risk management experience for large >$500M projects.
• Experience facilitating risk workshops and maintaining a program risk register.
• Experience running quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis and producing contingency recommendations.
• Working knowledge of CPM scheduling and cost forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the program’s risk management plan and governance.
• Facilitate risk identification workshops with staff, designers, and contractors.
• Quantify cost/schedule exposure and translate to contingency recommendations.
• Analyze baseline schedules for logic, calendars, and float integrity.
• Track mitigations and hold owners to dates; escalate where needed.
• Evaluate change proposals and time-impact analyses for program exposure.
• Review risk allocations in procurement and contracts.
• Reconcile risk against forecasts and report exposure.
