Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to strengthen risk management across North America for the Energy & Resources sector. You will lead PRR governance, guide reviews on high‑risk projects, and partner with project teams and senior leaders to promote informed decisions from pursuit through execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or related technical field.
• PM Certification and/or risk management certification preferred.
• Experience with large heavy civil projects or APD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement PRR governance activities for E&R, including supervision of the E&R Risk Manager.
• Attend and lead BOURC and ELRC reviews for large/high-risk projects.
• Audit select projects quarterly for go conditions and drive risk mitigation discussions.
• Coordinate between E&R BOU and ELRC to improve PRR practice.
• Collaborate with other Business Lines to ensure consistent PRR implementation.
• Develop and roll out risk management tools, templates, and best practices.
• Deliver risk management training to project delivery teams and BC leadership.
• Travel to US/Canada/global offices to support risk management activities.
