Job summary

Travelers Companies, Inc. is seeking a Risk Control professional to provide deep account knowledge related to hazards, controls, and management for complex, multi-location accounts.

The role emphasizes field presence, collaboration with Underwriting, and data-driven risk assessments to mitigate losses and improve client outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring five years of safety/risk control experience, a strong insurance/business acumen, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in safety, risk control/management or related fields (occupational/environmental health and safety, science, engineering, construction, manufacturing).
• Valid driver's license.
• Must have or be able to attain state-specific certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent field presence, 20%–50% on-site with customers.
• Travel to customers, including long-distance and overnight trips as needed.
• Partner with Underwriting to select, retain and grow a profitable book of business.
• Build and maintain relationships with Underwriting, Claims, Risk Control Specialists, and Brokers.
