Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required with 4 years of experience.
• Current CCO Signalperson (SGP) certification.
• Current CCO RIG-I and RIG-II certifications.
• Documentation of employer practical qualification for rigging duties.
• Experience with forklift/telehandler, aerial lift/MEWP, chain-hoist and related rigging equipment.
• Working knowledge of lift plans, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to lead nonroutine rigging work and provide clear technical direction in the field.

Aufgaben

• Lead hazard reviews for nonroutine lifts, including load stability and safety.
• Review lift packages, data, site conditions for load weight and CG.
• Determine/validate load weight and CG, calculate sling-leg tension and distribution.
• Select and verify multi‑leg systems, beams, hoists and lifting devices.
• Develop and verify rigging arrangements for complex or difficult loads.
• Lead pre‑lift briefings, plan signals, and handoffs.
• Direct test lifts, balance corrections, and controlled placement.
• Coordinate with crane operators and installation teams to avoid conflicts.
• Lead controlled recovery if load must be landed or re-rigged.
• Identify when formal reviews are required and prevent unapproved changes.
• Inspect and troubleshoot rigging gear and safety controls.
• Mentor Rigging Helper and Rigging 1 roles.
