Job summary

Modular Mission Critical, a part of M.C. Dean, seeks a Rigging 2 specialist to validate loads, plan advanced rigging, and lead pre‑lift activities on complex lifts.

You will coordinate with crane operators and safety personnel, oversee test lifts, and mentor Rigging 1 staff, with travel up to 75% and a competitive benefits package.

The role requires a high school diploma with multiple rigging certifications, ability to work at heights up to 60 ft, and strong field leadership.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience or equivalent.
• Current CCO Signalperson (SGP) certification.
• Current CCO RIG‑I and RIG‑II certifications.
• Demonstrated ability to lead nonroutine rigging work in the field.
• Up to 75% travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead hazard reviews for nonroutine lifts and complex loads.
• Review lift packages, data, and site conditions for load weight and CG.
• Determine or validate load weight and CG; calculate sling‑leg tension.
• Select and verify multi‑leg systems, beams, hoists, and attachments.
• Develop and verify rigging for irregular or difficult loads.
• Lead pre‑lift briefings and plan signal coverage and handoffs.
• Direct test lifts and controlled handoffs to final placement.
• Coordinate with crane operators, safety personnel, and crews.
• Lead recovery when re-rigging or repositioning is needed.
• Identify when formal reviews are required and prevent unapproved changes.
• Inspect and troubleshoot rigging gear and equipment.
• Lead small rigging teams and document issues.
