Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4 years of rigging experience or equivalent training.
• Current CCO Signalperson (SGP) certification.
• Current CCO RIG-I and RIG-II certifications.
• Documented employer practical qualification for rigging duties.
• Qualification in lift planning or related regulatory requirements where assigned.
• Ability to lead nonroutine rigging work and provide clear technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead hazard reviews for nonroutine lifts; assess load stability, weather, and site conditions.
• Review lift packages, drawings, and data for weight, CG, and clearances.
• Determine or validate load weight; perform sling-leg tension calculations.
• Develop rigging arrangements; select multi-leg systems and lifting devices.
• Lead pre-lift briefings and plan signal coverage and handoffs.
• Coordinate with crane operators and safety personnel to avoid field conflicts.
