M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a senior Rigging 2 specialist for Modular Mission Critical near Richmond, VA. You will validate load data, select rigging arrangements, lead pre-lift briefings, and direct load control during placement.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience or equivalent experience/training.
• Current CCO Signalperson (SGP) certification.
• Current CCO RIG-I and RIG-II certifications.
• Documented employer practical qualification for assigned rigging duties.
• Forklift or telehandler, aerial lift or MEWP, chain-hoist, jacking, skating, and site-specific qualifications when assigned.
• Working knowledge of lift plans, manufacturer requirements, and regulatory requirements for assigned work.
• Ability to lead nonroutine rigging work and provide clear technical direction in the field.

Aufgaben

• Lead hazard reviews for nonroutine lifts and assess load conditions.
• Review lift packages and site conditions for weight and CG.
• Determine or validate load weight and CG and calculate sling tension.
• Select and verify multi-leg systems and lifting devices for capacity and approval.
• Develop rigging arrangements for complex loads while protecting lifting points.
• Lead pre-lift briefings and plan signal coverage and handoffs.
• Direct test lifts and controlled movement to final placement.
• Coordinate with crane operators and safety personnel to avoid field conflicts.
• Lead recovery when a load must be landed or re-rigged due to conditions.
• Identify when formal reviews are required to prevent unapproved changes.
• Inspect and troubleshoot rigging gear and attachments.
• Lead small rigging teams and mentor junior roles.
