Job summary

Axon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to own design, development, and validation of complex electrical systems for mission-critical, connected hardware. You will help establish technical architecture and standards for a scalable hardware platform.

You will work across schematic design, RF integration, mechanical alignment, and debugging, influencing decisions from concept to mass production. A strong background in RF, PCB, and high-speed interfaces is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of embedded electronics design experience with a bachelor's in electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience with PCB design/layout, RF coexistence, mechanical integration, and hardware bring-up/debugging for highly integrated devices.
• Experience designing for U.S. and international hardware, wireless, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Electrical & Board Design: Develop mixed-signal schematics and drive PCB layout across processors, RF transceivers, power management, battery charging, memory, and high-speed interfaces.
• RF Integration & Coexistence: Design and validate RF systems across wireless technologies, addressing performance, interference, and EMC.
• Mechanical Integration: Collaborate with Mechanical/Industrial Design to optimize board layout and antenna integration within tight form factors.
• Bring-Up & Debugging: Bring up, characterize, and troubleshoot hardware using test equipment including oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
• Production Readiness: Drive BOMs, design docs, verification, and readiness from concept to mass production.
• Technical Leadership: Provide direction to electrical engineers and partners, reviewing designs to achieve hardware objectives.
