Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Engineer for the Effector RF Team in Tucson, AZ. You will contribute to architecture, analysis, design, and implementation of RF subsystems and sensors within missile products, lead small teams, and help establish technology roadmaps while interfacing with government personnel and program leadership.

The role is onsite in Tucson, AZ, requiring building RF knowledge across MHz to mmWave, and collaboration across engineering disciplines to meet challenging performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in STEM.
• 8+ years of experience in RF subsystems/subsystems.
• Ability to obtain interim U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, and test RF sensors and subsystems from MHz to millimeter-wave.
• Decompose system requirements into RF subsystem specifications.
• Measure RF components and subsystems in chamber and range environments.
• Model link budgets, RF cascades, EMI, antenna patterns, phase noise, ADC characteristics.
