Job summary

RTX’s Effector RF Team in Tucson, AZ seeks a Principal Engineer to contribute to RF subsystems and sensors for missile products. The role demands leadership, architecture, and hands-on testing, interfacing with government personnel and program leadership.

Onsite position in Tucson, AZ with opportunities to shape technology roadmaps. You will specify and test RF sensors across frequencies, decompose requirements, and analyze link budgets, EMI, and ADC characteristics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• 8+ years of RF subsystem design, integration or test experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating across engineering disciplines to define RF subsystem requirements.

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, and test advanced RF sensors and subsystems from MHz to mmWave.
• Decompose system requirements into RF component requirements.
• Measure RF performance in chamber and range environments.
• Model and analyze link budgets, RF cascades, EMI/EMV, antenna patterns, and ADC characteristics.
