Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior RF Sensor Responsible Engineering Authority (REA) in Tucson, AZ for advanced missile programs. You will drive RF subsystem requirements, conduct modeling and analysis, and support integration and test efforts in a high-security environment.

The role is onsite with opportunities to mentor engineers, collaborate across functional teams, and deliver reliable RF hardware for critical defense systems. Relocation may be offered and DoD security clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience with RF components such as antennas or CCAs.
• Experience working with suppliers or subcontractors to develop complex hardware.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supplier development of RF sensors and measurement equipment.
• Serve as liaison between supplier and program to align technical, cost, and schedule.
• Coordinate stakeholder reviews of technical data and hardware changes.
• Identify and communicate risks and mitigations for RF sensor development.
• Support lab testing, field tests, and root-cause failure analysis for RF sensors.
• Maintain artifacts such as requirements docs, HUM, and SSOW.
• Process variances for hardware noncompliance and deviations from the TDP.
• Travel regularly to supplier for reviews and meetings (1–2 months).
• Collaborate with program leadership, management, suppliers, and customers.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster technical excellence across the org.
