Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior RF Sensor Responsible Engineering Authority (REA) for advanced missile programs. You will lead RF subsystem design, drive requirements, and support integration and testing across the development lifecycle.

This onsite role offers opportunities to mentor engineers, collaborate with suppliers, and shape cutting-edge RF hardware. A DoD Secret clearance is required and prior radar/sensor experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 5+ years relevant experience
• Experience with electrical hardware development (RF antennas/subsystems)
• Experience working with suppliers or subcontractors on complex hardware
• Demonstrated product ownership and accountability
• Ability to interpret engineering requirements and verify hardware compliance

Responsibilities

• Oversee supplier development of RF sensors and measurement equipment
• Liaise between supplier and program to align technical, cost, schedule
• Coordinate stakeholder reviews of data, design changes, and hardware acceptance
• Identify risks and mitigations for RF sensor development
• Support lab tests, field tests, and root-cause analysis for RF sensors
• Maintain artifacts like requirements docs, HUM, and SSOW
• Process variances for hardware noncompliance or deviations from the TDP
• Travel regularly to the supplier for reviews and meetings
• Collaborate with program leadership, management, suppliers, customers
• Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence
