Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Senior RF Sensor Responsible Engineering Authority to lead RF subsystem design and integration for advanced missile programs. You will drive requirements, model designs, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure schedule and cost alignment.

Responsibilities include mentoring engineers, overseeing RF sensor development, and collaborating with program leadership and customers to deliver robust, high-performance radar hardware in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience with RF hardware development (antennas or CCAs) and subsystems.
• Experience working with suppliers or subcontractors to develop complex hardware.
• Demonstrated product or task ownership.
• Experience interpreting engineering requirements and verifying hardware compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supplier development of RF sensors and measurement equipment.
• Serve as a liaison between the supplier and program for technical, cost, and schedule alignment.
• Coordinate stakeholder reviews of technical data and hardware acceptance.
• Identify risks and mitigations for RF sensor development.
• Support lab testing, field tests, and root-cause analysis for RF sensors.
• Maintain artifacts such as requirements documents, HUM, and SSOW.
• Process variances for hardware noncompliance and TDP deviations.
• Travel regularly to the supplier for reviews and meetings.
• Collaborate with program leadership, management, suppliers, and customers.
• Build cross-functional networks and mentor engineers.
