Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Sensor Responsible Engineering Authority (REA) for advanced missile programs. You will drive RF subsystem design, radar development, antenna design, and RF seeker integration, coordinating with suppliers and program leadership to ensure technical excellence.

The role requires leadership in RF hardware development, risk management, and test support across lab and field environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with electrical hardware development (RF components such as antennas or CCAs and subsystems preferred).
• Experience working directly with suppliers or subcontractors to develop complex hardware.
• Demonstrated product or task ownership and ability to interpret engineering requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supplier development of RF sensors and measurement equipment.
• Coordinate stakeholder reviews of technical data, proposed design changes, and hardware acceptance.
• Identify, document, and communicate risks and mitigations for RF sensor development.
• Support lab testing, field test events, and root-cause failure analysis for RF sensors.
• Maintain artifacts such as requirements documents, Hardware Utilization Matrix (HUM), and Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW).
• Travel regularly to the supplier in support of reviews and working meetings.
