Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA seeks a Senior RF Phased Array Engineer I to lead development of new RF products and assess COTS components. You will model and simulate antenna performance and mentor a team of RF, digital, power, mechanical, thermal, and structural engineers.

This role requires a BS in electrical engineering and 5+ years of RF experience, strong link budget knowledge, and space-grade RF system delivery.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical engineering or RF communications; 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with RF modeling, simulation, and antenna performance analysis.
• Strong understanding of RF communications and navigation systems; space-grade design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, prototyping, integration, test and flight development of RF products.
• Model and simulate array performance to meet specifications.
• Coordinate with RF, digital, power, mechanical, thermal, and structural engineers.
• Transition developments from new product introduction to production.
• Develop test plans for active antennas, including EIRP and G/T.
