Rocket Lab USA in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Senior RF Phased Array Engineer II to lead the development of RF products and systems, including phased arrays, with emphasis on antenna performance modeling and COTS assessment. The role requires strong RF knowledge, system-level insight, and leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Based at the Long Beach HQ, the candidate will collaborate with RF, digital, power, mechanical, thermal, and structural engineers, oversee testing, and guide production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or RF communications (or equivalent).
• 8+ years of relevant RF/antenna experience.
• Strong understanding of RF communications and navigation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end RF product development from architecture to production.
• Model and simulate array performance.
• Lead cross-disciplinary RF, digital, power, mechanical, thermal, and structural teams.
• Transition developments from new product introduction to production.
• Interface with vendors and customers.
• Develop test plans for active antennas (EIRP & G/T).
• Design and develop GSE and production automation.
• Assist in product documentation (ICDs, User Manuals).
• Drive proposals and requirements specifications; assess compliance against capabilities.
• Provide technical support to internal/external customers; troubleshoot anomalies.
