Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA seeks a Principal RF Engineer to lead the design and development of RF products, including phased arrays, and to assess COTS components. The role requires coordinating with a broad engineering team to ensure products meet mission needs and production readiness.

The successful candidate will model, simulate, and optimize RF systems, drive tests, and interface with customers and vendors to deliver robust space hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of relevant RF experience.
• Experience with antenna / phased array modeling.
• Knowledge of interference effects in RF systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead end to end RF product development, from architecture to flight readiness.
• Model and simulate antenna / array performance.
• Lead collaboration with RF, digital, power, mechanical, thermal, and structural teams.
• Transition developments from prototype to production.
• Interface with vendors and customers.
• Develop test plans for active antennas (EIRP & G/T).
• Support production automation and product documentation.
