Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA seeks a Senior RF Phased Array Engineer II to lead RF product development, model array performance, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to bring new phasedArray technology from prototype to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Fundamental RF knowledge including link budget analysis and linearity.
• Strong RF communications and navigation systems understanding.
• Experience modeling and simulating antenna/performance of phased arrays.
• Deep understanding of interference effects on RF systems.
• Experience delivering RF systems from requirements to space-worthy products.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end RF product development across architecture, prototyping, integration, and flight development.
• Model and simulate antenna performance for current programs and proposals.
• Coordinate with RF, digital, power, mechanical, thermal, and structural engineers.
• Develop test plans and procedures for testing active antennas – including EIRP & G/T.
• Interface with vendors and customers to meet requirements.
• Develop product documentation including ICDs and User Manuals.
