Job summary

RTX is seeking an electrical engineer with strong RF design experience to design microwave components and phased array systems. The role emphasizes hands-on testing of MMICs, CCAs and RF modules, with a focus on AESA architectures and high-frequency performance.

You will work onsite in Massachusetts, collaborate with production and design teams, and apply HFSS/Matlab tools to validate simulations. A DoD-style security mindset and strong analytical skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree with 5+ years experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience in Microwave/RF system, subsystem and/or component analysis, design and/or test.
• Experience with RF simulation tools (HFSS, ADS, CST, Genesys, Mentor Xpedition) and Matlab.
• Experience with basic RF calculations and Cascaded Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design RF microwave components and phased array applications.
• Develop insights in RF/Microwave field for new concepts and products.
• Design/test MMIC or module products and test fixtures at RF/microwave frequencies.
• Integration and test of component-level and system-level phased array hardware.
• Some travel to integration sites and customer/subcontractor facilities may be required.
