Job summary

RTX is seeking an electrical engineer with a strong background in RF design and microwave theory to design and test microwave components, CCAs, and AESAs. The role emphasizes hands-on testing, CA and circuit card assembly knowledge, and collaboration with production teams.

The position is onsite in Massachusetts (Andover, Tewksbury, or Marlborough) with potential travel and requires the ability to obtain or maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Strong Matlab and RF skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Typically requires STEM degree with 2+ years of experience or an advanced degree.
• Experience in Microwave/RF system, subsystem and/or component analysis, design and/or test.
• Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools (HFSS, ADS, CST, Genesys, Cadence Virtuoso, Matlab).
• Experience performing basic RF calculations and cascaded analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design RF microwave components and phased array applications.
• Develop insights in RF/Microwave field and form new concepts and products.
• Design/test MMIC or module products and test fixtures at RF/microwave frequencies.
• Integrate and test component- and system-level phased array hardware.
• Travel to integration sites and facilities as needed.
