Job summary

Axon seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in RF hardware to own architecture, integration, development and validation of multi-transceiver systems for connected devices. You’ll influence chipset selection, schematic design and mass production for reliable field communication.

As a founding hardware team member, you’ll coordinate with Antenna, Systems, Mechanical, Firmware and Manufacturing teams to optimize RF performance across LTE/5G and other wireless tech. Hybrid work with travel.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of embedded wireless hardware design.
• Experience with chip-down RF design and board-level integration.
• Experience with two or more wireless tech: LTE/5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS.
• Experience designing RF circuitry and control interfaces.
• Strong RF coexistence, EMI/EMC understanding in compact multi-transceiver products.
• Experience integrating multiple transceivers in compact hardware.
• Hands-on bring-up and debugging with RF test equipment.
• Experience with antenna integration and RF routing.
• Experience taking hardware from concept to mass production.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Own RF chip-down design and board-level integration.
• Define wireless hardware architectures from system requirements.
• Develop Schematics and PCB implementations for RF transceivers and front-end components.
• Design for RF coexistence, interference, desense and EMI/EMC.
• Lead bring-up and debugging with RF test equipment.
• Drive certification and production readiness for mass manufacturing.
• Provide technical leadership across hardware, software and manufacturing teams.
