Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced RF Design Engineer to design transmitters, receivers, and exciters for DoD programs. This onsite role requires a strong background in RF circuit design, testing, and integration within lab environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure performance under extreme environments and meet mechanical constraints.

A U.S. government security clearance is required or ability to obtain interim clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with at least 10 years of RF experience.
• Experience with RF design, fabrication, testing, and RF simulations.
• Proficiency with HFSS, SystemVue/Genesys, ADS, or Mentor DX Designer.
• Ability to obtain Interim U.S. government clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop transmitters, receivers or exciters.
• Design CCAs with RF or mixed signals.
• Work in a lab to characterize components and verify modules.
• Test and handle sensitive RF hardware.
• Schematic capture and RF routing.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams - power, digital, mechanical, etc.
