Job summary

RTX seeks an experienced RF Design Engineer for onsite work in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on transmitters, receivers, and exciters with CCAs and RF/mixed-signal circuits, requiring DoD clearance readiness and ability to work across engineering disciplines.

You will participate in lab characterization, module verification, and RF routing while ensuring manufacturability and integration with power, digital, and mechanical teams. A senior candidate with 10+ years in RF is preferred.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with RF design, RF testing, and RF product simulation is expected.
• Proficiency with RF design tools (HFSS, SystemVue/Genesys, ADS) and circuit card assemblies is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of transmitters, receivers or exciters.
• Design of circuit card assemblies (CCAs) with RF or mixed signals.
• Work in a lab to characterize components and verify modules.
• Test and handle sensitive RF hardware.
• Schematic capture and RF routing.
• Collaborate with power, digital, and mechanical teams.
