Job summary

RTX's Effector RF Design Department in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced engineer to design transmitters, receivers, and exciters for RF/microwave hardware used in radar and datalink applications. This on-site role requires advanced RF design, lab characterization, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will work with CCAs, RF routing, circuit simulations, and integration in a lab environment. A STEM bachelor's and 5+ years' relevant experience, plus ability to obtain interim DoD clearance,

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in STEM and a minimum of five years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with RF design and fabrication, RF testing and troubleshooting, and RF product simulation.
• Experience with Mentor DX Designer, HFSS, SystemVue/Genesys, or ADS.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of transmitters, receivers or exciters.
• Design of circuit card assemblies (CCAs) with RF or mixed signals.
• Laboratory characterization and module verification/integration.
• Test and handle sensitive RF hardware.
• Schematic capture and RF routing.
• Collaborate with power, digital, mechanical teams.
