Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced RF design engineer to design transmitters, receivers and exciters and to develop CCAs with RF or mixed signals. The role involves lab work, component characterization, and module verification in demanding environments.

This onsite position requires DoD security clearance and close collaboration with power, digital, and mechanical teams. A Bachelor’s in STEM and 10+ years of RF experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with RF design, RF test, and RF simulation.
• Experience with HFSS, Genesys, ADS, SystemVue, and Mentor DX Designer.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of transmitters, receivers or exciters.
• Design of circuit card assemblies (CCAs) with RF or mixed signals.
• Work in a lab to characterize components and verify modules.
• Test and handle sensitive RF hardware.
• Schematic capture and RF routing.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams—power, digital, mechanical, etc.
