Job summary

RTX is seeking an Engineer to lead RF design for antennas and radomes in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on development, modeling, testing, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to meet stringent performance requirements for defense programs.

The successful candidate will guide junior engineers, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure hardware validation while pursuing modernization and technical roadmaps. A U.S. security clearance is required or can be pursued.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 8 years of experience.
• Experience leading antenna or radome designs through concept trades/studies, preliminary design, final design, and qualification.
• Experience with antenna, radome, or sensor measurements within near or far field systems.
• Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance before start date.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design antenna or radome hardware and requirements.
• Collaborate with thermal, structural, mechanical, and systems teams.
• Work with manufacturing suppliers for antenna/radome parts.
• Analyze simulation and test data to verify performance against requirements.
