Job summary

Genesis in Ridgewood, NJ is seeking a Business Office Manager to oversee the full revenue cycle—from pre-admission through discharge—and to lead a small business office team. You will optimize collections, ensure accuracy, and drive compliant patient accounting across Admissions, Clinical Reimbursement, and Social Services.

Qualifications

• Billing and collections experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Strong understanding of revenue cycle management (RCM) systems and metrics.
• Collaborative mindset with ability to lead a business office team.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day revenue operations including census, billing, collections and Medicaid tracking.
• Collaborate with Admissions, Clinical Reimbursement, and Social Services to ensure accurate patient accounts.
• Act as a financial liaison during admissions and discharge obligations.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and corporate guidelines and cash handling procedures.
• Utilize RCM performance metrics to identify challenges and implement solutions.
• Partner with Market RCM leaders to align with broader initiatives.
