Job summary

Genesis in Shepherdstown, WV is seeking a Business Office Manager to lead the revenue cycle from pre-admission to discharge. You’ll optimize collections, ensure compliance, and supervise a small office team including assistants and bookkeepers.

You will collaborate across Admissions, Clinical Reimbursement, and Social Services to maintain accurate patient accounts and drive financial performance in a compassionate long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Degree in accounting/finance preferred.
• At least five years of billing and collections experience, long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of revenue cycle management systems, processes and metrics.
• Collaborative mindset with ability to lead and develop a business office team.
• Professional demeanor when working with residents, families, and center leaders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end revenue cycle management from pre-admission to discharge.
• Lead billing, collections, adjustments, and Medicaid tracking.
• Collaborate with Admissions, Clinical Reimbursement, and Social Services for accurate patient accounts.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and corporate guidelines including cash handling.
• Utilize revenue cycle metrics (bad debt, cash collections, AR aging, DSO) to drive improvements.
• Partner with Market RCM leaders to align with broader initiatives.
