Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP seeks a Retirement Senior Manager to lead strategy, governance, and administration of the firm's retirement programs, including 401(k) and profit-sharing plans. This role demands deep technical expertise and the ability to modernize processes within a growing professional services firm.

You will partner with HRIS, Payroll, Finance, and vendors to ensure accurate data, compliance, and participant experience, while guiding senior leadership on strategic retirement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading retirement plan strategy and administration.
• Deep knowledge of 401(k) and profit-sharing programs.
• Experience with plan governance, compliance testing, and disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Lead retirement plan strategy, design, governance, and administration for 401(k) and profit-sharing.
• Oversee plan compliance, including Form 5500 filings, audits, and notices.
• Own annual profit-sharing calculation and allocations with Finance and auditors.
• Serve as primary technical contact for vendors, legal counsel, and plan auditors.
• Advance fiduciary governance with committee materials and documented decisions.
• Resolve complex retirement issues, corrections, and audit findings.
• Manage eligibility, deferrals, contributions, and distributions for staff.
• Translate complex concepts into participant communications and education.
• Benchmark plans and advise leadership on competitiveness.
• Partner across HRIS, Payroll, and Workday integration.
• Support growth, M&A due diligence in retirement plans.
• Identify opportunities to modernize retirement operations.
