Job summary

Forvis Mazars LLP in Charlotte, NC seeks a Retirement Senior Manager to lead strategy, governance, and administration of the firm's retirement programs, including 401(k) and profit‑sharing plans. This newly created role reports to senior leadership and serves as the technical SME on plan design, fiduciary oversight, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 8+ years of retirement plan administration, governance and operations.
• Hands-on experience with defined contribution plans and fiduciary governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, governance, administration for 401(k) and profit-sharing programs.
• Oversee census, nondiscrimination testing, Form 5500 filings and plan audits.
• Own annual profit-sharing calculations and allocations in collaboration with Finance and vendors.
• Serve as technical contact for recordkeepers, advisors, and auditors; manage deliverables.
• Advance fiduciary governance and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Analyze complex retirement issues and lead resolution of operational errors.
• Oversee retirement processes for executives and staff; manage deferrals and distributions.
• Translate plan concepts into participant communications and education materials.
• Benchmark plans and research best practices to inform leadership decisions.
• Partner with HRIS, Payroll, and Finance to ensure data accuracy and Workday integration.
