Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP is seeking a Retirement Senior Manager to lead strategy, governance, and administration of the firm's retirement programs, including 401(k) and profit-sharing plans.

The role requires deep technical expertise in plan design, regulatory requirements, and participant experience, with responsibility for improving controls, data integrity, and vendor collaboration. Works closely with HRIS, Payroll and Finance to support growth and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in retirement plan administration, governance, and operations.
• Hands-on experience managing defined contribution retirement plans, including 401(k) administration, compliance testing, plan audits, fiduciary governance, vendor management, participant communications, and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, design, governance and administration for 401(k) and profit-sharing programs.
• Oversee census prep, nondiscrimination testing, Form 5500 filings, audits and notices.
• Own annual profit-sharing calculations and allocations with Finance, vendors and auditors.
• Serve as technical contact for recordkeepers, investment advisors, and plan auditors; manage service quality and reporting.
• Advance fiduciary governance with committee materials and documented decisions.
• Lead resolution of complex issues, corrections, and audit findings.
• Manage eligibility, deferrals, contributions, distributions and communications for associates.
• Translate complex plan concepts into clear participant communications and education.
• Conduct benchmarking and research to inform senior leadership recommendations.
• Coordinate with HRIS, Payroll, Finance and Workday integration for data feeds and reconciliation.
• Advise leadership on retirement strategy, regulatory developments and risk controls.
• Support growth via due diligence and integration in M&A and new entities.
• Identify opportunities to modernize and automate retirement operations.
