Job summary

Voya Financial, Inc. seeks a Senior Advanced Markets Consultant in Retirement Services to provide regulatory expertise on qualified retirement plans.

You will analyze IRC/ERISA provisions, advise on design and compliance, and support sponsors through pre-approved documentation programs. Deliver strategic guidance to internal partners and clients, manage complex issues like mergers and fiduciary governance, and communicate regulatory developments that affect plan operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years with qualified retirement plans and related rules.
• Experience interpreting and applying IRC and ERISA requirements.
• Strong knowledge of retirement plan compliance, operations and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; translate technical concepts for business use.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative across multiple Retirement Services functions.
• Experience with complex retirement plan matters from mergers, controlled groups, and corporate transactions.

Responsibilities

• Research and interpret IRC/ERISA and state retirement plan laws to provide consultative support.
• Serve as SME on qualified retirement plans, including plan design and compliance.
• Provide guidance on regulatory requirements to internal partners, clients, and sponsors.
• Support sponsors using pre-approved retirement plan documents.
• Recommend remediation strategies and plan design alternatives balancing requirements and client goals.
• Consult on complex issues involving mergers, acquisitions, and fiduciary governance.
• Offer expertise on fiduciary responsibilities and plan governance matters.
• Support new business opportunities with technical retirement plan knowledge.
• Develop communications on legislative and regulatory developments impacting plans.
• Create training materials and client-facing communications.
