Job summary

Voya Financial, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Advanced Markets Consultant in Retirement Services to deliver regulatory expertise on IRC/ERISA matters and provide strategic guidance to clients and sponsors.

You will interpret complex retirement plan requirements and support business initiatives with technical leadership. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, educating partners, and delivering compliant, high-quality guidance while supporting new business opportunities and industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years of experience with qualified retirement plans and related rules.
• Experience interpreting and applying IRC and ERISA requirements.
• Strong knowledge of retirement plan compliance and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative, cross-functional teamwork with clients and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, and interpret retirement plan laws to provide consultative support.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on qualified retirement plans and plan design.
• Provide technical guidance on regulatory requirements to partners and sponsors.
• Support sponsors using pre-approved retirement plan documents.
• Recommend remediation strategies balancing regulatory needs and client objectives.
• Consult on complex issues involving mergers, controlled groups, and corporate transactions.
• Offer fiduciary and governance expertise for regulatory compliance matters.
• Develop and deliver communications on legislative and regulatory developments.
• Create training materials and client-facing technical documentation.
