Voya Financial, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Advanced Markets Consultant in Retirement Services to provide regulatory expertise, consultative support, and leadership on qualified retirement plan matters.

You will interpret IRC, ERISA, and state laws to resolve inquiries and guide internal and external stakeholders. You will help design, implement, and oversee compliant retirement solutions, support complex fiduciary issues, and collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality guidance and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years of experience with qualified retirement plans and related rules.
• Experience interpreting IRC/ERISA in operational, consultative, or compliance roles.
• Strong knowledge of retirement plan compliance and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, and interpret IRC/ERISA to provide consultative support.
• Serve as SME on qualified retirement plans including design, compliance, and documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to partners, clients, and sponsors on regulatory requirements.
• Support sponsors using Voya’s pre-approved retirement plan documents.
• Recommend remediation strategies and plan design alternatives balancing rules and client goals.
• Consult on complex issues involving mergers, acquisitions, or plan terminations.
• Offer fiduciary governance and committee oversight guidance.
• Support new business opportunities with retirement plan expertise.
• Develop communications on legislative, regulatory, and industry developments.
• Create training materials and client-facing communications.
